Spatiality, Temporality, Materiality

The second term’s brief for Experimentation & Communication is an extension of the mapping analysis conducted in term one. I chose to focus on the former Siemens telegraph cable factory, built in 1863 and currently in disrepair ahead of its £200m redevelopment into a ‘creative urban village’. On visiting the site, the layers of peeling history and emerging future are extremely tangible and the tall facades of the beautiful old factory buildings are impressive.
